I spent a good part of our recent snow day sitting at my dining room table, wrapped in a fleece throw and tapping away at my laptop. It wasn’t how I’d planned to spend the day, that’s for sure. And given the breaks to watch the birds, field Harry Potter questions, play the new board game and sing along with the ukulele, I was feeling pretty good about myself and my productivity.
Until I stood up.
My back hurt. My neck hurt. Shoulders too. Lap wouldn’t unlap. I’d done all the wrong things – sitting too long, screen low, keyboard far away with minimal breaks and no stretching. So when Lauren Zenzie asked what our topic for Tuesday’s stretching segment would be, I had an obvious answer in my own body.
