In the wheel of the year, today is the Equinox. Equal day. Equal night. The beginning of spring, in my hemisphere.
As is typical for western Massachusetts, the air remains frigid and patchy snow lingers in shady spots. Even so, the sun shows its face with increasing regularity and reassuring warmth has replaced winter’s watery wash of light. This is spring, too, cold and changing by the moment.
Today is a day of equals. Of both and.
And with tonight’s Super Moon – the full worm moon – today is a day to pause. To notice the space in transitions. To notice the space between breaths, as Pema Chodron teaches. To use breath to create that space.
What season of your mind is ready to end?
What is ready to emerge from your ground?
