I didn’t get around to sending personal holiday cards this, I mean last, year. The end of December arrived sooner than expected. Yet looking at the smiling photos of friends, colleagues, and cousins still tacked up in my kitchen, I regret not sending out notes to connect n hard copy, slow mail time.
So I spent some of our snow day writing out Valentines. Why must holiday greetings only be sent in December? Don’t we need the love and connection just as much in the depths of February? Living in New England, I sure do.
So I’m expanding Valentines day beyond romantic notions of love this year. What the world needs now is love, sweet love.
Happy Valentines Day, friends!
Yes, I bought my guys a little chocolate, too. After all, as my teacher, Lee Albert says, “compassion is the greatest healer. Chocolate is a close second.”
